It seems I didn’t lear my lesson with FFXI. I tried the open beta and I like! (Except for the way too frequent updates, rollbacks, and daily EMERGENCY maintenances)

I assume those will go away when they launch official service. I really like the way Miqotes look in this version of the game. They look about 1000000 times prettier than XI’s Mithras. The lalas are also very cute. Still not that into hume or elvaans. Hyur and Elf something – I am not in sync with XIV game terms yet. I am still talking XI.

XIV is a lot like XI but with better graphics and different features I guess-

There are some improvements to the game – The best of them, improved graphics- I really enjoyed the first cut scenes I sampled from the three different cities. omg >_< too bad I couldn’t take a screenshot of those.

So, well, should I or should I not? Bonobo says I probably shouldn’t D: D:

I kind of want to but I will never spend the crazy amount of time I used to spend on games. Just doesn’t make sense. And it will make me fat D: !!!

For example I used to take some to take some time at [...]]]> So this is the first time with a true smartphone and I must say I am rather impressed. It’s actually an understatement because I’ve been glued to my iPhone the whole two weeks I’ve had it. It actually changes the way you live.

For example I used to take some to take some time at work to check emails first thing in the morning. Now I read my emails waiting for my elevator so I save some time at work. And I’ve found some entertaining games that help me with dull and boring moments I have to endure. I am also better connected to my friends and I am now talking more to all of my friends I used to not talk to all that often by using txt applications. Texting is all the more encouraging because there are a lot of applications that let you use data rather than your text plan. I can just reserve 200 txt messages mo they and that would be ample because the rest is done with my data plan. I do have unlimited data plan(lucky me). I use whatsapp and kakao talk and find whatsapp the better of the two but kakao group chatting is fun and it’s free compared to a small price of $0.99 of whatsapp.

There are of course cons of having an iPhone. First of all call quality and reception is not matched with that of what verizon wireless offers. I understand why many people on verizon wireless hold on the thought of getting an iPhone and go the droid way. I debated for a long time myself. The keyboard sucks. Yes you do get used to it but trust me this is not a fun experience. I find myself texting briefer messages. Haha. We will see if I get better at this.

About applications: I know I am late into the game but being the curious kitten I am I have really been exploring a lot of applications and found them very useful. I’ve even purchased some and my favorite purchases include the well known games angry bird, doodle jump, and whatsapp texting application. I bought transworld snow just because I support them. I am a snowboarder to the core !!!! The most doubtful purchase so far is white noise because it was two bucks and I don’t have good use for it so far. I will try when snow season comes because I travel a lot in winter. I don’t mind paying for applications and I probably will not jailbreak my phone mostly because I don’t feel the need to. I appreciate the work people put into development. Maybe it’s easier for me to appreciate because I am a programmer. But most of my purchases were one dollar per application and in span of a month it will be about six or seven bucks on average. And its like getting two cups of coffee a month. I don’t mind paying for them at all. If apps were ten a piece hat would’ve been a different story but I find the prices vey reasonable.

Overall my experience is positive plus. I love the simple design of the phone and available applications. I am typing my first wordpress blog entry using my phone right now. This works for me. I am very happy

Real Mardid vs LA Galaxy

Highlights here!

We ran a little late even though I thought I gave it enough time cushion. We ended up running to the stadium from the parking lot. I missed the introduction part of the game :<

There were a lot of people- in different jerseys- In Galaxy’s, Madrid’s (more than I thought I would see), Barcelona’s (I guess supporting Galaxy?), Argentina’s (Ok i guess- some are frm Argentina), Manchester’s (Some were Ronaldo 7 but others were ?), Spain’s (also ok), and Germany’s (????????)

Anyhow all the soccer fans gathered together in Rose Bowl and showed support for both teams. I wish I lived in Europe where the soccer leagues are awesome and mainstream. Americans are dumb and cannot appreciate soccer.

What I saw and felt listy:

*Paying the money for a first hand experience is totally worth it. The excitement and energy was incredible. I would do this again!

*Worldcup games must be ten times more fun to watch in person. Gotta go to Brazil ! D:

*Madrid is a great team – Galaxy ain’t bad but doesn’t measure up. Proven when their regular (and also star) player got subbed in in second half – Galaxy pretty much got raped

*Donovan got hurt D: ohno

*Ronaldo is just phenomenal! When he entered the game energy shifted quickly and the crowd got hot. Whenever he got the ball he worked it and  everyone ends up standing up to see his game. He’s so fast and skilled it was such a treat to watch him play! He looks best in his uniform haha.

*Higuain is also very good- He suddenly appears from the side and scores goals. Thunbs up. I still remember his hat trick from the Worldcup against S.Korea though. That hurt :<

*Gago got hut D: Lady Gago noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! he was limping but still playing. I hope he isn’t really hurt D:

The stadium was smaller than I thought. Thus the player looked bigger than I imagined! There were so many Madrid fans!

When the whistle blew – It was a good game especially in the 2nd half- Time flew by like it was 9 minutes not 90 minutes! Real guys were throwing their jerseys away to Real fans in the fan section. o.m.g. I wish I could see them closer D:

Rose bowl was CROWDED - We had to walk a very long distance to our ad-hoc parking lot which I think actually is a park or a golf course of some sort. Haha.
